Cut your finger, catch the flu or wear yourself out through work. Whatever the case, your body will heal quite naturally, especially if it’s given adequate time for rest and recuperation. Your mind too, can recover from psychological and emotional distress, when allowed the time and space for healing.
Good quality rest, however, can be elusive. It may be that you were never taught the skills necessary to relax deeply. Or perhaps illness, fatigue or pain make it difficult to relax at all.
