A Complete Guide to Better Sleep
Mindfulness Based Insomnia TreatmentSo, you have problems getting to sleep or staying asleep, with waking up in the middle of the night, or with waking up well before your alarm, dammit!
You’ve tried all the tips you found online, you’re practicing good sleep hygiene, but you’re still wide awake.
You are not alone. And there’s good news.
As sleep expert W. Chris Winter MD says: “There are few health issues that cause more stress and anxiety than sleep problems and few that are as innocuous and treatable.“
Most people who struggle with insomnia feel as if there is nothing they can do, other than take a pill (with side-effects), or suffer in silence.
This is simply not true. You can sleep better — but you have to the right information. You’ll need to educate yourself; to disregard the dubious advice you’ve found online and the ‘helpful’ suggestions proffered by well-meaning friends and family.
Most people who have trouble sleeping are doing things which actually contribute to the problem. Well intentioned advice and common-sense solutions often don’t help at all.
You’ll also need a little patience — because sleep problems don’t usually go away overnight (ha, ha). But don’t take my word for it. Listen to what a few of my listeners have had to say:
Only question is… how does this work? I mean wow. I fell asleep in like 4 minutes.
When I first heard this, I thought, no way is this gonna work. Boom, I was so wrong. Every night since listening to this man’s voice and whatever magic he has spun into his words makes a cocktail of real relaxation, worry free and deeply relaxing sleep.
