The Melbourne Meditation Centre’s privacy policy supports and endorses relevant state and national privacy regimes.

What information does Melbourne Meditation Centre (MMC) collect from our users and how do we collect it?

MMC only contacts and collects information from individuals who specifically request that we do so. That is, those who have either:

  • signed up to receive our free newsletter
  • registered to attend a course or workshop, or
  • ordered products through our website.

The collection of personally identifying information only occurs during online registration and purchasing. Generally, this information includes name and e-mail address for registration to receive our free newsletters and name, postal address, and credit card information when purchasing products or services. All of this information is provided to us by you.

How do we use this information?

This information is used for internal administrative and marketing purposes only. MMC does not sell, exchange, or release your personal information (name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit data, etc.) Your information is not shared with any other third party or company outside of billing and shipping purposes.

We will only use personal information provided by you for the purposes for which it was collected. We will not disclose your personal information to a third party. We ensure that your personal information will not be disclosed to other State institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.

What are cookies and how do we use them?

Cookies are small information files used for authenticating, tracking, and maintaining information about visitors to a website. Cookies cannot be used to access personal information other than those details you have specifically provided, for example, by filling out a form. The setting of cookies on your hard-drive by our website enables us to streamline transactions and maintain preferences set by you for viewing our site.

How do we store your information?

Information you have provided, (with the exception of credit card details, which are never stored) is stored on the Melbourne Meditation Centre’s own secure database. Your information can only be accessed by MMC personnel.

Newsletters sent to you by MMC include an unsubscribe link which you can use to remove your details at any time. You can also contact matt@melbournemeditationcentre.com.au to change your information at any time.


This policy may be changed at any time at MMC’s discretion. If we should update this policy, we will post the updates to this page. This policy was revised December 20, 2006.
